Fresh Air

This morning we headed out to "The Kettle" to go cross country skiing. It was a beautiful morning - a warm 28 degrees so we took advantage of the nice change in weather!! The high today is supposed to be 40 so what a change from these frigid wind chills!!
It was mommy's first time ever xc-skiing and she had a blast! It was a little scary at first but daddy said she took to it like a duck to water. :) Daddy is such a great skier that he put me to sleep! Our little jaunt was almost 2 miles and I was awake for all but the last 1/4 mile. Grandme & Grandpa Carter kept me out too late last night! :)

I wanna go fast...

I'm just like my dad...I LOVE trucks, cars and anything that goes fast. So with that spirit daddy created this super cool race track table for me! I LOVE it!!! He did such a great job...don't you think?

By the way...my favorite thing to do now is point out all the trucks that we see when we are driving. "Truck, truck, truck" is what we heard all the way down to Rockford last night. :) On to the race track...

Welcome to Flack Motor Speedway!

Mommy put my yellow chair (thanks again Aunt SueSue for chair last Christmas) up against the table and it is just perfect for me to sit and play. I bring everything up here, including Mr. Puppy, Baby Frog and anything else that I can manage to hoist up there. So far mommy hasn't had to play referree too much - daddy has learned to share the table with me. :)

Delurking...thanks Amber :)

I stole this post from my blogger and real life friend, Amber...who stole this from a girl we went to high school with, Tonya. I know there are a lot of you out there reading who don't comment.

"There is always a week in January where you are asked to come out of the wood work and comment on the blogs you read so that people know there are people out there reading! Well apparently, it is this week (or was last week) so, party people leave me some comment love and let me know that you have read this post if nothing else. Say "Hi." I promise I won't bite. You don't even have to have a blog to comment just hit anonymous, but if you do please sign your name so I know who you are. Thanks...much love!"

If you're not sure how to comment, at the bottom of each post it tell how many people have commented. Just click there and it will instruct you to leave your message!

Can't wait to see who I hear from! :-)

Mr. Puppy...

I love this little doggy so much! So far he's accompanied me into an OR when I had my tubes put in, down to Illinois to meet the Flack/Reckamp family, had a jumping session in the jumpaline at my cousin's house, and has made lots of new friends! Mr. Puppy has seen and done it all in his short lived little life! Where ever Carter goes...Mr. Puppy is right there. To my friend Noah, thanks so much for choosing Mr. Puppy...I just love him to pieces!!!

"Five Green & Speckled Frogs..."

Auntie Jennifer & her crew gave me this really cool book for Christmas called, "Five Green & Speckled Frogs." It is a little song book that tells a little story about the frogs jumping into the pond...it's cute! I think Daddy enjoys it the most...

Spoons On!

I'm finally getting the hang of these things called utensils. The proof is in the applesauce! Mommy keeps saying that each day I keep amazing her with all the new things I'm doing lately.

Sledding!

Mommy & daddy took me sledding a few weeks ago before my surgery. It was cold but so fun!! Daddy is a pro at sledding but mommy...not so much. Daddy and I went down a few times and then mommy and I went down. A mouth full of snow later we were on our way back home. :) Mommy went zooming down the hill (not her choice BTW) and when she was trying to stop the sled that just made the snow fly up in our faces. I didn't like that too much!! We'll try it again later and mom will just sled alone!! :)

Tubes!

Hi everyone...We reported to the hospital at 5:45 this morning. At 6:40 they rolled Carter in to the OR and the doctor "installed" tubes in both ears. He's doing AWESOME! We were home by 9 am and Carter is running around like nothing happened. Just wanted to let you all know and thank EVERYONE for their prayers and support. Hopefully the worst of these yucky ear infections are behind us...for good!!

Stay warm!

Be-Bo

For those of you who aren't familar with "The Bellybutton Book" by Sandra Boynton let me explain. The cutest little hippo calls his belly button his "be-bo." Carter has quickly picked up on this and LOVES pointing out daddy's "be-bo." No matter where we are at he will pull up the shirt to find it. We ask him where his be-bo is at and he'll just pull up his shirt. His be-bo is still an out-y so he doesn't have a fun hole there yet...haha! After MUCH pleading with Jonathan I got him to agree to me posting this cute video of Carter finding his be-bo. Enjoy!

Children's Museum

We recently drove over to Milwaukee to the Children's Museum one day. It was so much fun! I loved everything about that place and I can't wait to go back! I think my favorite part of the museum were the cars and the slides! They had a special place for little kids like me. We were at the museum all day long. I was sooooo sad when it was time to leave!!
