Vegas Baby!

Mommy & Daddy went to Vegas for their 5 year anniversary and I got to hang out with my Illinois relatives! Thanks Auntie Jennifer, Uncle Dan, Colette, Simon and to both Grandparents for taking such good care of me while mommy and daddy were away.

We arrived in Vegas on Tuesday night around midnight Vegas time. We zipped over to our hotel and finally got to sleep way too late for our old bodies! We planned a trip out to the Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam the next day so we couldn't even sleep in...WHAT were we thinking!?! :) We put on about 700 miles on our little Colbalt and had a blast! We started our day with the Damn Dam tour and then hopped in our little ride and we were off to the Grand Canyon.
While we were at the Grand Canyon we saw Elk and they were less than 3 feet from us. They had no care in the world that we were beside them snapping pictures left and right. We stumled on a baby Bull Elk that was grazing. So we got to see the ginormous hole in the ground and that's about it. Next time (according to Jonathan) we'll ride the donkey's down...we'll see about that.










Ahhh...Vegas! It was a good trip. We saw and did everything imaginable. Everyone keeps asking about what shows we saw...we saw a traditional Vegas show. Neither one of us realized it was topless until the dancers pranced out onto the stage. I needed a towel to wipe up the drool from the guy sitting to my left...haha


We had dinner at the top of the Stratosphere on Thursday night. The restaurant revolved and we had a table right by the window. Ahhh, what a nice dinner and the view was fabulous!




Here are a few more fun shots from the trip...the fountains at the Bellagio. We went up to the top of the Eifel tower for another night time view of the city. We got to see the fountain show at night too, which was pretty neat.






The best part was seeing all the themes and different shows at these hotels. Amazing how you can walk from Egypt to France and Italy all in one night. Or, in our case, we took the monorail to a few of these destinations! :) We were good - only gambled $10...total between the two of us. :) We work too hard and quickly realized that we are NOT lucky people...haha!









Jonathan met a few new friends while we were in Vegas...




The day that we left...of course we had to take a picture of the view from our room. We stayed at the Imperial Palace. It was a great location but an older hotel. We got lucky and had a nice room with a view of the pool. We were up on the 15th floor so it was NICE and quiet!!

Before we left for the airport we had dinner at the Harley Davidson Cafe. It was just like being back in Wisconson with all the Hogs! We even had a chance to renew our vows at their Chopper Chapel...maybe for year 10 we'll look up Elvis at one of the many chapels in Vegas! It was a great trip and certainly can't wait to go back!

My Bud's 2nd Birthday Party!

So June has been a whirlwind of a month for mom and dad. We are sorry for not keeping this thing updated but July is a new month so we will see if we can't update it more.

Earlier this month my bud Peyton turned 2. The Godfrey family had a party at a park where we ate cupcakes and played on the jungle gym and ate cupcakes and played and ate cupcakes... Did I mention we had cupcakes!!! One of my favorites!

My Reason To Relay

Hi folks -

Fort Atkinson's annual Relay for Life is coming up July 17th. Since working at Cygnus I have always been a part of their team. I relay because I want to eliminate cancer during my lifetime...I know that is a big goal but with your help each year we come closer to that goal.

Everyone that I know has been touched in some way, shape or form by this ferrocious disease. More recently it has touched our family and this makes it all the more important to me to fight back against this disease that has taken too much from so many people.

I'm using Carter's blog as a way to reach out to you to see if you would support me in my efforts by donating to my Relay for Life team. My goal this year is $500. Annual Ag Breakfast

This past weekend we celebrated grandma's birthday along with grandpa and grandma's 40th anniversary!!! We went to the annual Jefferson County Ag Breakfast which is grandpa's favorite! I was actually able to enjoy it more this year and partake in more of the activities than what I was last year. We toured all the vintage antique tractors, found an old '49 Chevy truck, pet a donkey, chickens, goats, calves (or as mommy called them "baby cows"), and even went on a wagon ride around the fairgrounds! It was a great morning! I can't wait to do it all over again next year!
