No Fear Flack!

One night before dinner we took all the cushions off of the couch to let Carter romp around on them on the floor. Before I know it...he had climbed up on the couch! I was a little nervous so I made sure to push up the pillows to the base so nothing would happen. Well...while I was moving the pillows Carter proceeds to dive off and laughed the whole time as he tumbled onto the pillows! I tell ya...this kid has NO FEAR!! He LOVES to crawl all over the couch and then do his little army maneuvers down to the cushions that are on the floor. I swear he climbed up and down for about 20 minutes so it was a great babysitter while we were preparing dinner!! The shrills that you are hearing are his shrills of joy that he does whenever he gets excited and happy!! :) This little trick was also an excellent babysitter while we were up in the Dells this past weekend at Brandon & Kim's...we'll have pictures up soon for that big adventure! Thanks...as always...for such a GREAT time...WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!! Kim, I'm going to get a video of Carter clapping so we can prove to you that he claps! :)

Happy 60th Grandpa!

Do you honestly think Mommy would let me forget that you are turning 60 years old on August 12th!?! Happy Birthday Grandpa! We have had a lot of fun going to train shows during the past 11 months, I can't wait to go to more with you and learn all about your favorite hobby! We are going to have a LOT of fun together as I get older!!

My first hair cut!

Grandma & Grandpa Carter came up for a visit after daddy's race. We all celebrated mommy's birthday and daddy's upcoming 60th birthday! After I woke up from my morning nap Grandma trimmed up my sides. Daddy kept saying that I looked like a little hippy with my curls in the back and my long sideburns. You can't tell that too much was trimmed but enough to make mommy think that I look more and more like a little boy than a baby! (sniff sniff)

Family Fun Run!

Every year daddy runs the St. Joe's Family Fun Run! This year I got to go along and watch him run! The past few races I haven't been too excited about but this on was fun!! Daddy won 1st place in his age category and finished 9th overall!

I clapped and cheered for daddy as he was running! I love to clap!

STAIRS!

When Carter was staying with Auntie & Uncle a few weeks ago he discovered stairs! When we picked him up Carter had to show us that he could do it! So now at home he loves to climb up our stairs from the basement! We haven't quite shown him how to go down...we aren't too anxious to show him that one yet!!

Story Time With Daddy

Carter LOVES books with music...or anything that deals with music for that matter! He is like his daddy for sure! The first thing Carter goes for every morning is his book basket. Always, he grabs the books that make music. :) I couldn't resist snapping these shots one afternoon when daddy was having storytime with Carter.

The Big 31

Carter gave me a WONDEFUL picture frame with a few of my favorite pictures of us. It was so sweet. His little helper, daddy, broke into my picture account through Creative Memories and did his magic. So sweet! Here are a few pictures of us on 8/1opening up my gifts before we left for the weekend.



Here is just a quick shot of me & Jonathan on the beach downtown Chicago. We had such a relaxing weekend! Saturday we were beach bums and slept on the beach and jumped the waves in Lake Michigan! So much fun!



Oh yes...and this last picture...every moment Jonathan had he would let me know that I was 31. On the beach he kept writing it in the sand with a lovely arrow pointing towards me. Then he made me take this picture. His time is coming...you just wait Jonathan!!!!

The Year Is Almost Up!

Well folks...we made it through another month! August 2nd Carter turned 11 months and I turned the big 3-1...yikes!! Carter had a wonderful weekend with his cousin Colette & Simon and soaked up all the lovin from his Uncle Dan & Auntie Jennifer...while mommy & daddy played in Chicago over the weekend! :)
