"Laundry Lounge"

Today while mommy was doing some laundry I decided to crawl in the basket with my Hot Wheels and check out the comfort level. Needless to say, it was very very comfortable. Daddy decided to capture the moment.

Lawn Care Prep

The other day when I got home daddy had the riding lawnmower out getting it all gased up, tires filled with air, greased and ready to go for the lawn mowing season. I instantly jumped up on it to make sure everything was done right. Then we went for a tour around the "back 40" to check things out and see how they were growing and spring was treating our yard.

Book Corner

Along with trucks Carter LOVES his books. We really haven't had an organized area in his room for books...but we do now! Daddy let us have one of his old crates and it fits in the corner of Carter's room perfectly! Carter loves to grab books off of the shelf and read them. Jonathan and I both have been dragged back to his room for story time. :) I hope he always is his fond of his books!!! We have enough of them to fill up a library!

Friday Fun!

The best thing about Friday's...play dates!!! On Friday we got together with the Baldry's and we had another little visitor with us...Mr. Peyton! The two moms and four kids headed out for a morning in the park! The mommies had enough diapers, wipes, snacks and juice for an army!!

Easter at the zoo...I mean Flack's

With three of us little ones running around now Flack celebrations are no longer calm and orderly...it's a little chaotic and we love it! We had a nice meal at Grandma Flack's and then we spent the whole day outside! First we had our Easter egg hunt...next year I'll keep up with Colette better! The Reckamp's outnumber the Flack's - I think I need a partner mommy! ;)
Grandpa had a few kites that he wanted to fly so the gang walked down the road to the most perfect kite flying location! Although the wind was just a little much for the stunt kite the other kite that daddy got up earlier flew high and mighty for the whole afternoon!

Quiz for all of you faithful Carter bloggers...does this little sweater vest look familiar to any of you? It should...it was Carter's Easter vest from last year!! Simon has been able to wear a LOT of Carter's clothes so it's good to know we are getting our money's worth!! :)

Carter Easter

On Saturday we celebrated Easter with my Grandma & Grandpa Carter. It was such a fun day! Mommy and daddy looked for Easter eggs inside while I played with some of my new "Cars" cars. Grandma didn't realize how excited I get about cars so that took care of the hunt...but mommy and daddy enjoyed the goodies that were inside the eggs!! :) Later that day we went outside and found even more eggs. I knew I needed to practice my egg hunting skills because I was going head-to-head with Cousin Colette the next day...gotta get those eggs! I didn't do too bad, only broke one this time. We ended the day with a trip to the park - what a beautiful day it was!!




Then on Sunday we got up to go to church with the Flack's. Grandpa Carter joined us for church while mommy practiced at their church for their big Easter service. This year we managed to get a family portrait!!


Before we left I had to get in one more solo on Grandma's piano!!

Coloring Easter Eggs...

On Good Friday mommy and I colored Easter eggs. I had successfully colored two eggs while at Miss Lorrie's earlier in the week. Mommy figured if Lorrie could do it while watching 4 kids, she could do it with one...
We only managed to break two eggs which wasn't too bad! I was really excited about the "blue water" and kept trying to drink it. I only spilled once but it manage to turn my socks blue along with my fingers...so mommy decided to move to another color hoping that I wouldn't be as infatuated with it...but no, I wanted to drink those colors too! Hopefully next year will be more successful.
