Random Daddy Shots

This past week daddy was on vacation with us and we had lots and lots of fun with him! We went to visit Grandma Flack one day, enjoyed some time on the slip-n-slide and played lots and lots!! Daddy even built a mega huge ramp down the stairs for all of my hotwheels!! It kept me entertained (and daddy too) for hours!!! Lucy loved it so much that she went to sleep. Maybe one of these days she'll come to love playing with cars and trucks like me!!! If not...I don't know what else she'll play with around here!

Four Months...

As I mentioned before, August 2nd was the 4-month mark for Lucy! Here are here latest pictures AND her stats. The NP said last week that she thought Lucy had the longest torso she's ever seen on a baby! Hopefully that means she'll be tall like her daddy!!!!

Height: 25 1/4" - 90th percentile
Weight: 15 lbs 10oz - 90th percentile

Thank You Grandma Carter

Grandma Carter picked up pretty sweet slip-n-slide for me a few weeks ago. Daddy and I were dying to test it out and last Monday was the perfect afternoon for a little water fun!! The best part was daddy tossing me down to the end! Even daddy managed to have a little fun on it too! Thank so much Grandma, we ALL love it! :)

I love this video not only because it shows how much fun Carter had running and slipping on his new toy but you can also hear Jonathan's "ah-ha" moment when he realized how you work the shark that came with Carter's slip-n-slide. haha :)

Where has 33 years gone?

August 2nd marked a few things in our house...

#1: Lucy turned 4 months!
#2: Only one more month until Carter is three!!
#3: Only two more months until we reach the 6 year mark with our marriage!
#4: Jackie turned 33 - oh what a day!

We like our "two" in this family huh? :) I took the day off work, slept in, and didn't really do much! It was a GREAT day! We had pizza from one of my favorate local establishments and topped off the night with ice cream and cake. Yum! Actually we had the ice cream/cake at lunch because Carter couldn't contain himself any longer. Can you tell he was a little excited to dive into the cake!? :)

Does it look like I like this stuff?

August 2nd - Lucy's first bites of cereal...and it didn't go so hot. As you can see...

#1: It went all over the place. The little stinker kept moving around and I think more cereal went on her than in her little mouth. :)

#2: What bites she did managed to get in her mouth she didn't seem to enjoy the taste OR texture. After a few bites she ended up screaming so we figured that was our sign. :)

So...back to the drawing board! We'll try again soon enough. She's eating her bottles like a champ and sleeping so well for us (12 hrs at night, yeah!). Give her some time and she'll be a champ at this eating thing!

What a daddy...

We've had some rough naps over the past week or so. We found out on Thursday that Lucy is starting to cut some teeth so I'm guessing that is probably the little culprit behind this sleepy baby's wake ups! This girl loves her sleep so it's just baffled us as to why she's been so "off" lately...now we know why! The doc said she can start to feel some action on the lower gums so we'll see how long it takes for these doo dads to cut through! Carter was 6 mo when he got his first tooth and had just those two for probably another 6 months. We'll see how Lucy trends with this teething phase!!
Anyways, I captured these shots during one of Lucy's afternoon naps. She just wouldn't settle so Jonathan went in to rock her and she pretty much collapsed in his arms...daddy's touch I suppose! :)

2010 Cousin Weekend

A few weeks ago we hosted our dear niece and nephew for a few days. Boy did we have a good time! We started off with a trip to Rockford to meet Auntie Jennifer and the gang. We stuffed Colette and Simon in the car and back up to Wisconsin we drove! Auntie Jennifer thought for sure that the kiddos would sleep on the way home...one did!! I don't know how Simon managed to sleep through all the commotion of Carter and Colette but he did! Those two chatted all the way home, they were very excited! That evening we hosted the Baldry family for a BBQ and the kiddos played and played outside. Saturday consisted of a trip to the pool and more playing. After pizza and ice cream Saturday night we had three pooped little kiddos!! They were all asleep by 7:30!!
Sunday was departure day but not before Uncle JonJon got the bike train assembled!! He took the three kiddos on a short bike ride downtown and gave Colette and Simon the "tour" of Fort. :) Then back in the car and off to meet Auntie Jennifer again. We had a GREAT time and can't wait to do it again!!!!
