Daddy and I joined up with Jordan and Owen on Friday to have a little "man" time! We had so much fun playing in and outside the tents and enjoying all that the campground had to offer! Even though I came home with more bug bites than I can count...I can't wait to do it again!! I was wiped out! When can we go camping again daddy?
On Friday Lucy and I headed down to Janesville to visit Miss Trisha. We were a little late this month getting our pictures taken so these are more like 3 1/2 month pictures! :) Lucy continues to be such a little joy. We thought Carter was a relaxed baby...I think she has him beat! She's been sleeping through the night for about a month now and has really settled into a great schedule for us. Grandma Carter got this little dress for her as a gift. I love how frilly it is but I swear there was more dress than what there was Lucy! Plus the little stinker kept grabbing and chewing on it! :) Guess it made an excellent blankie for her too!
Last weekend was Lucy's first trip "up north" to visit Auntie Kim & Uncle Brandon. It was a whirlwind of a weekend - we actually headed south to Freeport before heading north up to the Dells. After our whirlwind Freeport stop a 2 hour trip took about 3 hours because we had to stop three or four different times. Carter thought he had to "do the deed" so we stopped quite a few times along the side of the road with our trusty blue potty! The first time the weeds were just a little tall for the seat and kept tickling Carter. So on we went (guessing he had a little stage fright!). Next stop was just about 10 minute north and this time there were too many rocks and guess who was playing with them? Finally... we made it to Wisconsin where we stopped at a bar and mission accomplished. Now it was time for Lucy to eat so our quick stop turned into a 45 minute stop by the time all was said and done. Are we there yet?? Sheesh!!
Finally made it to Baraboo where we hooked up with the Wegner's and went to the Sauk County Fair. Fair food...ohhhhh how good! Carter was able to look at all the animals and discovered that the pigs and rabbits were his favorite. He loved petting the bunnies and feeling their soft fur. The pigs noses were so gooey but they had these little holes that he could stick his fingers in. :)
After our long hike across northern IL and southern WI we were finally able to catch some sleep!! We had a big day planned for Saturday...the circus! We saw lions, puppies and elephants! Speaking of...daddy and Carter got to ride one too! It was pretty fun! Thanks again Uncle Brandon!! It was also our first opportunity for our group shot tradition...believe it or not, we got everyone too! As our group continues to grow we have to be more creative at working everyone into the shot!
Carter pointing at PT Barnum!
What would a trip up to the Dells be without our Saturday night dinner at Pizza Pub...mmmmm so good! Thanks again guys for such a fun trip!!! As always, our gracious hosts show us a good time!!! We can't wait to see you again soon...especially since we need our potty seat back! :)
A few weeks ago daddy and Grandpa Flack went camping. I had a blast being outside and enjoying all that nature has to offer. I think the highlight of my trip was being able to spend all that alone time with Grandpa!! Daddy caught my first trail ride on video and I had to share. I'm getting so much better at going fast and then lifting up my feet! This balance bike is the beans...love it!
