Big Brothers Milo & Otis

We were a little nervous to introduce the little bug to Milo and Otis. Everytime the doorbell rings the two of them scatter for hours! Surprisingly, they have done quite well with Carter. Mr. Milo (the black one) is constantly watching over Carter to make sure he is ok...that or he is trying to figure out how to get rid of him so he can have his mommy back all to himself! :)

Welcome Home Carter!

Can you believe the hospital let us leave with this new little life? We are now responsible for this tiny human being...what were they thinking discharging us?? On Tuesday, September 4th we had our first outing...the trip home from the hospital!! On the way home we did really have our first outing...we stopped and picked up lunch from Jimmy John's. Mom wasn't thinking...I didn't take any pictures of the event. :)

When we got home there was a "Welcome Home Carter" sign in the front yard. Auntie Kim and Uncle Brandon made that special for me!! They are so sweet...I love you guys!

Carter Jonathan Flack

Our first thought...where in the world did the RED HAIR come from!?! :) Thankfully red is on both sides so Jonathan didn't have to wonder if Carter belonged to the mailman. haha

We've only just begun...

It all started on Saturday September 1st. Just a normal Saturday until that night...the contractions started around 7 ish that night. By 8 I was thinking that something might be happening. I called the hospital and they told us to come up for a "check." By 8:30 I was ready to go but still waiting on Jonathan. He, of course, had a list of things to do a mile long and needed to finish cleaning the house, garage, yard...you name it...he needed to do it! After begging for him to get into the shower we were finally out the door by 9:00. :)

We got to the hospital and by the time I was checked in, settled into the room, etc we found out that I was in labor and already dilated to 6cm. From there things progressed really quickly and by 2:22 am on Sunday morning we were parents!!

Life has officially begun!!!
