The gang was all here on Thursday night as we helped the Rahn's celebrate Wesley's 2nd birthday!! It was a fun night - grilling and an evening with good friends!! The theme was Handy Manny so most everyone showed up with their green on and ready to "work!" :) All of the kiddos received their Handy Manny trucker hats and they were the hit of the party! :) Thanks for such a fun night guys!!!

Camping Fun!
I've got a few camping trips scheduled this summer and I'm so excited!! One big reason for my excitement...my new camping cot!! After waiting for WEEKS for this little gem, it finally arrived in time for my firt big camping outing with Grandpa Flack and daddy! I was so excited when it came that I couldn't go to sleep until daddy set it up for me! Now we just need to get one for Lucy and we'll be set! I don't think this little bed will be big enough for both of us to share...do you?
Biker Dude!
With each ride I'm becomming more and more comfortable with my balance bike! We've got a wonderful bike path just down the road from our house and most nights we head down there after dinner. On Wednesday we went a different direction on the path, which took us by a grocery store. I LOVE going up and down the big ramp by their loading docks. I was a little scared at first but after one time down I was a pro and even got my feet up for some serious coasting!!

Lucy's Baptism
...One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism... Ephesians 4:5
What a great day as we gathered to celebrate the baptism of Lucy! She was such a good baby during the service and baptizing. She loved the water on her head and walking with Pastor Lee as he showed her to the congregation! Thanks to all who joined us on that special day!

Our First Half Marathon Experience...
The day started out like any other race that Jonathan has participated in...he had his normal pb, apple and english muffin breakfast, stretched, posed for pictures from his crazy wife, and ran a few practice laps. Jonathan had prepared, trained, and did everything necessary to get himself in tip-top shape for his first-ever marathon.
The morning was hot but bearable. It was going to be a grat race - the first-ever FA marathon had over 400 runners! We were all psyched for the pancake breakfast at the finish line!!
Carter, Lucy, his parents, and I all headed down to watch Jonathan take off! The buzzer sounded and off they went! Jonathan was off to a great start! He was on track to finish in 1:45 - about 8 minute/mile.
Carter and I headed off on the bike to "pace" Jonathan and get some "action" photos! We were with him for about a 1/4 of the race. Then he told me that I was bothering him (haha) so off we went and waited for him at the finish line! His finish was like no other finish...it ended with a bang! Him hitting the ground with my hand behind his head. Followed by at least 10 minutes of non-response time.
Poor Jonathan had severe heat exhaustion, dehydration with altered mental status...that was the discharge paperwork from the hospital. Also had suffered a case of Tachycardia, extremely fast heart rate, and it took a while for it to come back to normal along with his body temp. I knew something was wrong when I saw him coming down the last leg of the race. Most people sprint but he looked like an 80 year old man the way he was moving. I met him at the line and it wasn't long until he was down.
Thank the dear Lord that our friends were right there with us and helped find Sylvia and LaVerne and also took the kiddos for us during this whole ordeal. Jonathan was very lucky and gave us quite the scare but he is feeling much better!! I knew he was feeling better because on Sunday as I was mowing the lawn (you guys know how he is w/ his lawn!) and was told that my lines weren't straight!! We didn't need a 2nd ambulance ride on our bill but he was close to one after that statement! :)
Jonathan was happy to know that he crossed the line and accomplished his goal of finising in under 2 hours. His time was 1:52 so he did very well for not remembering the last 1/2 mile up until the ambulance pulled up to the hospital! He's already got the date on the calendar for next year's marathon...we'll see if his wife's nerves can handle this again!! :)

Bed Time!
Last Thursday it was just daddy flying solo for bedtime. Since I'm always such a big helper I got to help feed Lucy while daddy read us our favorite bedtime story...Skippyjon Jones! Mommy was off enjoying a 90-minute massage, compliments of some of her wonderful co-workers!!! :) Ahhhhh mommy time is so wonderful!

Lucy Two Month Pictures
Ok, so some of these might not be the largest sizes but hopefully you can still see them. I went to a different place this time around and wish I would have gone back to Trisha @ Penny's. I kept telling the girl that there was a stain on the background and you can see it in pretty much all of Lucy's shots. :( She said that their backdrops are cleaned weekly...apparently we must have been at the end of the week cycle.
As we were viewing the images she told me she would reshoot but by that time Lucy was done & I wasn't too excited about coming back. So hopefully their "lab" can touch it up the dark spot.
I haven't been too impressed with receiving my images online either - doubtful that I'll be going back anytime soon. I had a CHEAP coupon so I guess I got what I paid for this time. :( She still captured some super cute facial expressions of Lucy so I shouldn't complain too much.

Rock-A-Bye Lucy...part 2
So after I took the video and uploaded to blogger, Carter watched it over and over and over...need I say more? Funny how a 2 year old kid can work a computer.

Rock-A-Bye Lucy
Before Carter's afternoon nap we always read stories on his bed. Lucy LOVES listening to stories as well as her big brother. I still haven't been able to get him reading to her again but I did catch this yesterday!!

More Parties!
May and June are busy birthday months and the best part of it...cake and ice cream!!! :) Tonight we headed over to the Godfrey's for cupcakes and ice cream. The kiddos had a great time playing together and so did the adults! Happy THIRD birthday Peyton! Such a big boy now!
Dog Party...
I missed my Kodak moment today at naptime when we were reading stories. Carter has a few favorite books that he can "read." We've read them so many times he knows the words and when to turn the pages for the next set of words...amazes me! So we were reading Sandra Boynton's "Pajama Time" and he took the book and read it to Lucy and I. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen and Lucy was just mesmerized by her big brother! So I gave him "Go Dog Go" to read and tried to capture it on camera...the jig was up and I could only get a little bit. These little moments are so precious and make me smile!
Two Months!!
Well folks, it's hard to believe that our Lucy Lu is two months old!!! Time does fly when you are having fun...which means my time at home is getting shorter by the day. :(
Lucy and I headed to the doctor this morning for her 2 month visit. She did extremely well...even handled the shots ok...as well as can be expected when you get three! :( The nurse said she had great lungs...that's my girl!
Length: 23.75 - 93rd percentile for little girl's her age!
Weight - 12 lbs - 86th percentile
That's one long growth spurt - 3.75" and 5lbs in two months! I think we must put miracle grow in these bottles to get these kiddos growing so fast!!! She didn't beat Carter's growth record! He was 14lbs and 25" at his two month check up.
I went yesterday for her two month picture so once I've got the digial images I'll upload for the latest pictures of Lucy!
