The Big 3-4

Yup...that time of year again. I hit the big 3-4 this year...and Jonathan keeps reminding me that I'm closer to my "mid thirties" now than I am my "early thirties" Thanks Jonathan... ;)
It was a good night - Mexican food with a super yummy cake decorated by Baker Jonathan...watch out Cake Boss. :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gold Rush VBS!

Our church is awesome...look at the FABULOUS transformation of the hallways...even the sanctuary was transformed! Carter was so excited to head to VBS the first week in August. Each morning he was able to take a pony ride down to the Opera House where he had three hours to soak in the glory of our Lord. He absolutely LOVED every minute of VBS and was very sad once the week was over. I can't tell you how many times we have washed this little Gold Mine shirt, he loves it. :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Where is this baby???

So a few weeks ago we celebrated our "last weekend" with the Wegner's before their little one arrives. We decided to keep the kiddos at home and whoop it up with mom and dad-to-be before their life turns upside down...of course in a good way! We had dinner at the local chop house...yum yum. Then topped the night off with drinks and a campfire! Saturday we headed down to Mirror Lake and rented Kayaks! Look at this ... she was two weeks away from her due date (at this time) and look how awesome she looks!!! And Kayaking...go Kim! We are praying for a healthy little baby! Meeting Great Grandma & Aunt SueSue

A few weeks ago we all headed down to Southern IL for a big Phelps/Carter family reunion. We spent so much time in Uncle Harv's pool that I didn't get any pictures of Lucy/Carter with the Phelps side!!!! Sorry guys - a good excuse to plan another reunion!
We enjoyed some cool moments inside at Great Grandma Carter's house. Lucy enjoyed showing Grandma and SueSue her babydoll, high fives with Grandma...and just exploring the new territory. It was a short but fun weekend!! Thanks for hosting us!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pool Fun

We love our local pool! Carter has really enjoyed taking swimming lessons this summer and has really taken a liking to the water. He will even get his head wet and go under - which is a HUGE accomplishment from years past! His sister has absolutely NO FEAR of the water. She enjoys going down all the kiddie slides and insists on going by herself. Carter has graduated to the big kid slide all by himself and loves to jump into the water!!!
