Lucy Update...

Howdy folks! It's been a little crazy at our house over the past week. Promise to get some updated pictures on here soon...we've got some good ones!!
Lucy is doing great for us!! She has been eating GREAT - taking about 2-3 oz at each feeding. Once her tank fills up she gives us some great stretches of sleep at night. She normally wakes up between once and twice a night...so we are HAPPY for that and sure hope it lasts!!! :)
As for Carter...he sure has adjusted well to life as a big brother. He really loves Lucy and (so far) has been sharing many of his cars, trucks and his favorite blankie with her...we'll see how long that lasts! :) Just today he was outside with daddy and he came to the front door and shouted that he needed to come and check on Lucy. So, inside he came to check on his little sister. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and back outside he went.

A few "Carter-ism's" that we wanted to share...a few of these are from his first visit with Lucy.

*She doesn't talk - this was the first thing he said at the hospital. :)
*Shhhh daddy the baby is sleeping (this one is his favorite statement although he's not so good at following his own advice!)
*At the hospital he looked at my tummy and said "The baby is on the outside mommy."
*Mommy to Carter: "Her name is Lucy" Carter's response: "Carter will call her baby"

More to come! Thanks to EVERYONE who has called, emailed, stopped by, sent cards, brought food, new clothes for Lucy, the list goes on and on...we appreciate everything!! The WONDERFUL home cooked meals have all been great!!! YUMMY...I can get used to this no cooking gig!
